Tony kicks back with the locals
Tony receives the same kind of warmth and welcome we received in our years in Hawaii. He did not exaggerate the significance of the Ho ku le' ia or the occupation of Ka ho' o la we back in 1976 (I lived in Hawaii during that year.) It was not staged for the show that there was Hawaiian music and dance at the most modest gathering - it happens all the time (though Tony had a real "A" list musician in Willie K at what looked like a baby luau). Mahalo Tony and one piece of advice - ask for one scoop plate lunch!
